Suspended from Twitter for NOT Tweeting?

That’s fun. I set up a Twitter account yesterday, in expectation of doing enough work on the website today to be able to send a first tweet announcing website launch.

I just logged back in, and received a message telling me my account was suspended, as it had been identified as being amongst those involved in mass spam activities.

Now, I understand Twitter admin would want to preclude abuse of the service, and I certainly don’t want spam. I am a bit surprised, however, for my account to be flagged when it has not sent any tweets yet. None. Zero.

Or maybe that’s the point? Twitter is designed to encourage us all to share our lives every 30 seconds in 140 character bites. Not sending anything is terrible behaviour that cannot be condoned.

Or maybe it’s just opposite day over there or something.

Urgh. Let’s see if I can get the darned thing back then.
